Maria has served as choir director and church pianist at FLC since 2005. All musicians, regardless of proficiency level and instrument choice, are encouraged and developed in their talent at FLC. The church provides an excellent opportunity for budding and seasoned musicians alike to share their God-given gifts and abilities. Choir rehearsals are typically held on Sunday afternoons and all are invited to participate in singing or playing their instruments to lead in worship.

Rev. Kathy Harris
I love serving the people of God both through Faith Lutheran Chapel (FLC) and through community and family interactions. I believe that God created each one of us in God’s own image, and the true challenge and joy is to see the face of Christ on all whom we meet.
I am passionate about the Gospel (good news) of Jesus Christ and sharing that with everyone. Through a very dark and sad time within my own life, I remember searching so hungrily for the comfort and peace of Christ. And I was not disappointed. The Lord is always there and more ready to give than we ever are to receive. It has been through those times of darkness that Christ’s light has become most visible.
I believe we are always on the greatest adventure and journey ever as we live out our calling to be the baptized in this world. John 15:17 was life-changing for me. As Jesus addresses his disciples for one of the last times in his earthly form, he shares with his disciples: <em>You did not choose me, I chose you! This verse changed my life as I realized that I am one of the called, and not by my design as I had thought, but by God’s design…. powerful words, life-changing words!!
I attended the Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary in Columbia, SC. Previously, I served as a pediatric physical therapist. I am married to Rick who is a high school teacher and coach. I have a mildly mentally disabled son, Andrew, who works at a sheltered workshop during the day and three bonus children through my marriage to Rick. I enjoy reading, walking, dancing, and going to the beach!!
I am currently working to deepen my own spirituality by spending more time with God. The Lord is sending some excellent mentors and authors to shape that part of the journey. I have a love for LIFE and try to celebrate this great gift each day!
Blessings – Pastor Kathy (aka PK)
